Fámmuo Awakening Force is a single released from the upcoming album Homo Sapiens and My People. The Ume Sami word Fámmuo, means power or force. The song is a call against oppression towards indigenous peoples who have lost, culture, language and religion. A sleeping culture, and the awakening of an ancestral power to reclaim our innermost identity. When you heal yourself by regaining your language, your traditions and your culture, you also heal an ancient energy and gain strength from your ancestors. The song is therefore a tribute to indigenous peoples who wake up from an oppression that has prevented them from daring to trust their own inner strength and light.
